Winter here, have just pulled up 12 spider plants to pot up. We’re on the second wave, so... Loch down 2.0 for 6 weeks. Ah well, plenty of weeds to pull out. 😥Keep up your lovely writings.🥰
Oh my goodness I’m in the same boat! I wish I knew how to garden tho 😂 my two little have so much energy and I’m exhausted and neglecting all of the things regarding me. Lol! I started looking up livestream videos! This has been my saving grace.. guilt-free “tv” that’s actually educational, and gives me 20 minute chunks to clean or whatever. Drink coffee, actually 😂 I put all the educational livestream on a new Instagram account because I got so inspired about it. But today we watched the science one and my kiddos then wanted to DO the messy fun science stuff 😁 ah well, it was good. They went to sleep with happy little smiles tonight and said I’m the best teacher in the world 😅💜🤷🏻♀️ Cheers to you, and good luck!!! 👍
Laetitia - thank you so much for this. And for your honesty, and in the end...you're actually liking some of it!! ha ha, this is so touching, and heartwarming. Loved it, and looking forward to the next instalment. I was sobbing last night. Feeling better today though. I'm a grandmother now (ha ha!), living alone, on benefits. But in a beautiful flat, overlooking fabulous gardens, and the sea, and with its own communal garden, which I potter about in, and which I adore. Just a gardening tip - but I'm sure you know about it - sprouting greens! I've just ordered some, you do them on the windowsill and they come up in a day or so and you can eat them in about three days it says, so your kids might enjoy this activity, they might like eating them too! I'll send you a link if you like. People are getting paranoid that seeds are running out but I didn't have a problem. Have a good day. Love the garden, love your pics. <3
Ahh thank you so much Jenny and yes, sprouting seeds are on our list of things to do next week - it's a great way of gardening in ones kitchen! I do hope you are ok. Strange times but we WILL come out the other side, and hopefully we will all be stronger, better people xxx
I'm still in my jimjams! Lovely to hear from you, new friend! Got my window open, the breeze is making my strange mobile I did last night, dance. This is bringing out the child in me. Have a good day xxxx
Thank you for your wonderful honesty and humour. I don't like this game either, although my child is old enough to be good company. I don't like not seeing my colleagues and not hugging anyone and telling my mother to keep away. And when my daughter goes to her father's it is very lonely indeed. I rely in the dark evenings on cookery programmes to get me through - soothing TV, preferably watched with my own cookery attempts in hand, and a nice log fire and the cat. Cat of course not really playing the game properly. Friends phone up but it isn't the same - I don't necessarily want a long talk in the evening anyway, just for someone to be present. Or potentially present. Potentially present might be even better. The five minute garden idea has been helpful, though, and I am planning maybe even more than 5 minutes today, planting out some bulbs at the front, which might lead to some distant chats, who knows? Going to order your book for my sister in law. Thanks for these posts, C
Cats really need to up their companionship game! seriously though I am with you...phoning isn't the same..I so miss human contact of the physical type...and gaffawing in someone's face (which I feel I can't do now). Do hope you manage to get outside into the fresh air a bit. Gardening really does help xxx
