Hello! This is Nothing Important.

I started this Substack way back in 2017 (simpler times!) when I was regularly posting gardening things on Instagram and it became a lovely way to write and chat about things that interested me including but not limited to gardening.

People say this letter encourages them to get out in the garden and do something, especially when they are overwhelmed. Some people follow along with what I’m doing, and others just read it for the real life stuff. I love writing it!

I’ll always link to blog posts or specific plants to help you in your garden. I will post projects, photos and videos here and nowhere else.

The conversation is my favourite bit…

The best thing about writing this letter has been the friends I have made. I love and adore getting emails from newsletter friends who send me their questions, comments and general life stuff. The conversations sparked here are one of the special joys of my life - it’s a better, more enriching conversation than I could ever have on social media.
